About

Born in Melbourne, a boom baby, I lived the first 2 years of my life in and around a mud brick house that my parents built in Warrandyte before moving to suburban Brisbane in 1955.

My mother’s family, the McClintocks, were stacked with artists, teachers, readers, healers, radicals and gardeners and I have inherited a good slice of each.

My father was a carpenter and following in his footsteps, I have a fine collection of power tools and I enjoy using them all. You might call me a Jack, no Jill, no Alexexandria of All Trades but feel free to use the term  multi-talented.

Mild mannered librarian by week day, the weekends see me observing, designing, recycling, and creating my permaculture patch in the back yard, my own little Garden of Eden.

Do I have a Permaculture Design Certificate? – you bet – completed in 2013 at Northey Street City Farm http://www.nscf.org.au/. Am I ready to spread the love? – in spadefulls. What I’m hoping is that as I send dispatches out into the World of Blog about what’s happening in my patch, whether you’re passionate or simply curious about the topic, you will come pay a visit, and share your thoughts and experiences with me, because which ever way you look at it Permaculture Rocks!
